I'm 32. I learned to crochet when I was very young, I think before I was 10? I've been more into crocheting nowadays but had *completely* forgotten how to cast on stitches for knitting! This was even easier than the method I was taught, thanks RJ!

Many years ago, my ex-wife was a Knitter and very shy about meeting new people. Venturing to a local yarn Shop in Reno, Nevada, we found out from the owner that there was a group of fellow Knitters that met up every Saturday morning at a little store called My Favorite Muffin, which I LOVED. My wife had told me that she'd like to go but was too shy to go by herself. So, being the good husband I thought I was being, I told her, Teach me how to knit and we'll make it a regular Saturday morning thing. She was surprised and asked if I was serious & I told her of course. So, that was the beginning of me learning to knit. We've been Divorced since 2007, and I want to get back into it to raise money for some charities that I like to support. She had her own store on Etsy and made some good sales. Her first 2 were overseas. Thank you, RJ, for this video. I feel I'll be able to get back into Knitting and start enjoying it again as I was back then. Thank you again and God Bless!!!

Now see… all those people telling me to make a V and go up and around the block, up the street, pick up a grilled cheese on ciabatta toast, go another block and get a sprite then loop around and pull through can go to hell. This is the only cast on tutorial I need.

Looking at this I am forgetting basics. These youtubers make it look so complicated. My Grandma taught me in 2 minutes or less. I don't know why he has to talk.so much and make it look so complex and take so long
